Happy Holidays Haven Family!
This Christmas season is very special to us, as we had the honor of decorating the home of one of our clients’ for Geneva’s Holiday House Tour. We spent the entire week after Thanksgiving preparing for this event and partnered with Platt Hill Nursery on the greenery. For those that were unable to attend, we’d love to share the final design with you!
While walking up to the house, a family of reindeer stand ready to greet you (one of my personal favorite touches). A vintage red truck filled with presents sits in the driveway. Platt Hill did a beautiful job assembling everything from the wreaths to the window boxes, and more!
Upon entry, you’re met with several touches of Christmas spirit. A kissing ball looms overhead from the chandelier. Garland and ornaments adorn the balustrade going upstairs and on the landing is a pair of skis. Boughs of greenery, ribbons, and more ornaments hang from each of the sconces. An adorable snowman nativity set is tucked into the built-in.
Next you find yourself in the living room. A 9’ foot live tree is filled with dozens of ornaments, snowflakes, and ribbon. Tucked behind the tree is the office which features a miniature tree topped with a Jim Beam bottle, the homeowner’s signature touch. On the coffee table lies an antique Bible, one of the family’s heirlooms.
Connected to the family room is the kitchen. A large sleigh with a miniature tree and fur throw are sure to catch your eye. The table is set with festive dinnerware, as if moments away from hosting a holiday meal. A vase containing glass fruit, fresh greenery, and curly willow sits in the center. Spread across the countertops lies a feast of cookies, peppermint bark, meringues, chocolates, and more, ready to be enjoyed!
Down the hall is the master bedroom. A tree between the windows compliments the one in the living room. Next to the lounge chairs on the fossil table awaits a bottle of champagne waiting to be popped!
After exiting the master, take a peek into the laundry room. Festive “Noel” shirts are hung with a bow and bough of balsam. Red and silver trees surround a Christmas gnome on a sled atop the counter. Look below to see two plaid reindeer near the shirts.
Last but not least is the dining room. This stunning suite is the perfect culmination to the House Tour. The ornaments shown here compliment the trees and bring an extra element of festivity. Magnolia leaves are a special touch added to the table arrangements. This setting is perfect to enjoy a holiday meal with family.
