How We Work

Step 1: Discovery & Consulation

Every great design journey starts with a conversation. We begin by asking thoughtful questions—and listening even more carefully. Together, we’ll explore how you want your space to function, your personal style, and your budget considerations. This is also when we may take photos and measurements to better understand the possibilities. If you already have a Haven designer in mind, they’ll guide you through this step. If not, we’ll match you with the perfect designer to bring your vision to life.

Step 2: Concept Development

Now the fun really begins. In this phase, we dive into layout options—exploring different ways your space can function and flow—until we find the one that fits you best. Then, we begin shaping the creative vision for your project. Through inspiration boards, color swatches, textured fabrics, finish samples, and curated images of furniture and styles, we’ll explore to find what resonates with you. This is how we uncover your preferences, refine the aesthetic, and set the tone for everything to come.

Step 3: Design Selections

Here’s where your vision starts taking shape. Based on everything we’ve discovered together, we present a curated selection of options—fabrics, furniture, flooring, paint colors, and more. This is an interactive, collaborative process where we refine and narrow down the choices until we land on the perfect mix of elements for your space. Once selections are finalized, we prepare a detailed quote. Occasionally, we may explore a few more options to get everything just right. When you’re ready to move forward, a deposit allows us to begin the custom manufacturing process and bring your design to life.

Step 4: Procurement & Project Management

While things may seem quiet on your end, behind the scenes we’re hard at work. At Haven, we meticulously manage every detail of the production process. We collaborate closely with each manufacturer to ensure your custom pieces are crafted exactly to spec—down to the smallest detail. Once your furnishings are completed and shipped, we receive and carefully inspect every item to ensure it meets our standards—and yours.

Step 5: Install & Reveal

This is the moment we’ve all been waiting for—the transformation. All the planning, collaboration, and thoughtful decisions come to life as your new space takes shape. For larger installations, we’re on site to oversee every detail, ensuring each piece is placed just right and everything aligns with the vision. We may bring along a few carefully chosen accessories to suggest optional finishing touches—it’s entirely up to you whether you’d like to keep them. Once everything is in place and perfect, we’ll send your final invoice. Then it’s time to settle in, enjoy your beautifully designed space, and make it your own.
