Anna leads the Haven design team at our Geneva, Illinois studio. She arrived at Haven seven years ago, by way of both the “Big Apple” and the “Windy City.” After graduating from Parsons School of Design in New York City, Anna honed her skills and built an impressive portfolio at internationally award-winning design firms in the heart of Chicago.
Shortly after launching her own design business, Anna crossed paths with Haven’s founders. They immediately recognized that she was “the one” to help them establish and grow an award-winning design studio in Geneva.

As Design Director, Anna’s top priority is creating homes that are a true reflection of her clients. To achieve this, she begins each project with open dialogue, focusing on intentional, active listening to uncover the subtle cues that will guide the entire design process.
As Anna explaines, “I can learn so much about my clients’ likes and dislikes when I spend more time listening and less time talking. My relationship with the client is key to thoughtfully laying out a space and proposing ideas and selections that genuinely reflect who they are and what they envision for their home.”
Anna also believes deeply in full collaboration—not just with her clients, but with every professional involved in the process: builders, trim carpenters, painters, electricians, installers, and more.
She added, “I learned early in my career that it takes a unified team, working toward a shared vision, to create something clients will love for years to come. Juliene began her design journey at the age of 12, pretending to design rooms using old fabric samples. From that early moment, she set her sights on a career in design. After graduating from the University of Wisconsin–Madison with a design degree, Juliene hit the ground running. Like a creative sponge, she absorbed inspiration from every opportunity, earning recognition and awards year after year in nearly every role she held.
show moreBefore joining Haven as a Senior Designer, Juliene held design roles at major furniture retailers, where she was responsible for selecting home accessories, creating in-store displays, and staging luxury homes for real estate agents. These creatively driven experiences have all contributed to her highly refined and artistic eye for design.
Juliene says, “I love working at Haven Geneva because the studio is creatively inspiring, the team is incredibly collaborative, and we have access to the best furnishings, fabrics, and accessory brands in the industry.”
This Haven Senior Designer is a self-proclaimed “people person” who rejects cookie-cutter, trendy interiors. Pam is a storyteller who expresses herself through color, texture, pattern, and form. After a successful career as a Set Decorator and Photo Stylist in New York and Los Angeles, she brought her artful design sensibility to Haven Milwaukee. Her transition from film to interior design was seamless—shifting from crafting layered, imaginative spaces for fictional characters to designing beautiful, personalized, and functional homes for real people. Each space Pam creates reflects her clients’ unique stories, brought to life with creativity and purpose.

Before entering the world of interiors, Sydney built a strong foundation in business—sharpening her ability to think strategically and lead confidently. That right-brain/left-brain balance defines her design approach and leadership style today.

For Ali Burke, art has always been her native language. From dance to fine art, creativity has shaped every part of her life. Her artistic lens sharpened while studying in Florence, Italy, where she immersed herself in Renaissance sculpture, artisan craftsmanship, and the quiet details that bring design to life. “Florence taught me to appreciate and discover design in the everyday,” she says.
That perspective defines her work today. As co-owner of Haven Interiors alongside Sydney Brengel, Ali brings a refined, art-driven aesthetic grounded in detail, discipline, and nuance. Known for her ability to layer texture, color, and form in sophisticated, unexpected ways, Ali’s designs are expressive and carefully composed—never overdone.

There, she developed a keen sense for visual impact, business management, and how to connect with audiences through design—all of which inform her work today.
